First 9 Weeks

What is your impression of the first 9-weeks of high school?

My impression of the first 9 weeks was not a bad one, the transition was not easy. I needed to memorize a new building and class schedule. Other than that it was an alright start. Thought the school itself needs a redo, the AOIT program has been great and very helpful.

What has been difficult about the transition from middle school?

Getting up at 6:00
The most difficult thing to get used to was the new surroundings, people and layout of the school. I still have not seen most of the pods, upstairs area and the sports fields.

What has been easy about the transition?

The easy parts of the move is the 4 class schedule, new classes every semester and a 40 minute lunch period.

What have you learned about yourself?

I have learned 3 things
1. I need my sleep
2. I have terrible time management skills (work in progress)
3. I will need a snack before 3rd period.

Trends and Factors

  • What 3 trends do you see in computer evolution? AND Why?
Trend #1 The first trend I noticed is the change in screen type. Soon after the computer was created by Apple or IBM developers began working on a screen for their computers. This is shown by the progress that has been made since its creation for computers, it has became clearer and turned to higher quality. After the screen became HD, the touch screen was created and further evolved the screen.
Trend #2 The second trend is the decrease of size and increase of storage/power. The size of many computers has shrunk from the originals that could fill up a garage. This show evolution in their power and capability.
Trend #3 The price has been a very noticeable trend, every time a new piece of technology comes out the price goes high as it is so revolutionary. However in half a year the price plummets in the face of even newer tech.
  • Name 3 factors that drive technological innovation
  1. The want to turn a profit on a very profitable industry
  2. The public's desire for more advances in the technological field.
  3. If the old models feel limited, devs will try to lift those limitations and strive for perfections.
